Pvt insurers, LIC may share database

Private insurers are talking to the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) to share the database the monolith has developed on consumer behaviour over a period of time. The private insurers are said to have suffered a few adverse claims and such data is of vital importance to tackle frauds at the earliest.

Unlike the LIC, private insurers do not have the reserves to take care of such cases and such an arrangement if it works out would be highly beneficial to private insurers.
