LIC to flag off Nepal operations

The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has joined hands with the Vishal Group of Nepal and is expected to begin operations there in the next 45-60 days with a capital base of Nepalese Rs 20 crore. LIC got the licence yesterday and holds 55 per cent in the joint venture. The corporation's 100 per cent subsidiary in Mauritius, will begin selling policies in the next two months.
